Biography
Hayley is a proud native of Lindsborg, Kansas, with roots that run deep—her Swedish ancestors journeyed from Sweden to help prepare the grounds for “the new Swedish Lutheran College,” and her family has called the area home ever since. When Hayley was born, her Swedeheart parents (Classes of ’89 and ’90) lived on campus, and her father continued a family legacy by serving as Head of Grounds, a role once held by her great-grandfather.

She earned her degree in Business from Bethel College and Baker University and has spent her entire career in the nonprofit sector—working in areas ranging from child mentorship and healthcare to economic development. In her free time, Hayley serves as President of the Marquette Chamber of Commerce and is the founder of the Marquette Community Foundation. Over a decade ago, she also launched a workout class called Sweaty Swedes, held on Coronado Heights, which raises funds to help preserve the historic park.

When there isn’t a Bethany home game—her husband works in Athletics—you’ll likely find her family enjoying the outdoors, whether kayaking, taking long golf cart rides, or swimming.
