Bethany College Faculty to Speak with Girls Scouts

LINDSBORG, KAN., March 25, 2022 – Two Bethany College faculty members will join the F(em)powered event organized by Girl Scouts to celebrate women and their achievements on April 9, 2022. Andrea Ring, Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Psychology Department along with Rachel Finnell, Assistant Professor of Political Science History will be sharing with girls’ grades K-12 what it is like to be a college professor. Thereafter the girls will be creating vision boards and setting goals for their future education.  Professor Finnell remarks “I’m very excited to spend the day with some amazing Girl Scouts to help empower them to make a difference in their communities.”

 

Bethany College recently entered a sponsorship as a partner in the Outside the Guide program in which Bethany will offer a variety of events that will satisfy requirements for girl scouts to acquire badges.
