Transfer Admission Requirements
Transferring to Bethany College is straightforward. Here's what we look for:
- Minimum GPA: 2.0 cumulative GPA from previous institution(s)
- Good Academic Standing: Must be eligible to return to your current institution
- Official Transcripts: From all colleges and universities attended, whether or not credit was received
- Application: Complete the Bethany College application for admission
Transfer Credit Policy: Bethany accepts credits from regionally accredited institutions for all courses transferred with a D- grade or higher. Academic support courses do not transfer. A maximum of 62 semester hours of college work will be accepted. Upon request, you'll receive a comprehensive transfer credit evaluation showing how your courses apply to your Bethany degree.
Bethany College participates in the Reverse Transfer Program with Kansas community colleges. This allows student to receive an associate's degree from their most recent community college by combing credits earned at Bethany and the community college in which the student is enrolled. Students who transfer at least 45 credit hours to Bethany are eligible to participate in the Reverse Transfer Program.
Degree Completion at Bethany
To earn your bachelor's degree from Bethany College, you must meet the following residency requirements:
- Complete at least 31 credit hours at Bethany College
- Complete at least 31 of your last 40 credit hours at Bethany College
- Complete at least 15 credit hours at Bethany College that are upper-level (300-level or above) coursework, of which 12 must be in your major
These requirements ensure you receive a comprehensive Bethany education and are fully prepared for success in your chosen field.
Off-Campus Housing for Transfer Students
Housing Options
Transfer students who have successfully completed two academic years (or four semesters) of post-secondary undergraduate study at another institution in the United States before the start of the semester are eligible to live off campus.
All other transfer students are welcome to live in our comfortable on-campus residence halls, where you'll be part of a vibrant community and have easy access to campus resources, dining, and activities.
