Bethany College Music Program brings world-class artistry to Pearson Chapel

Bethany College is proud to welcome acclaimed organist Dr. Jacob Hofeling for a special concert on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:30 pm in Pearson Chapel on the Bethany College Campus. The evening will feature Hofeling’s improvised accompaniment to the classic silent film Nosferatu (1922), alongside other organ works.

Dr. Hofeling is an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and educator with extensive performance experience across the United States and abroad. He holds degrees in organ performance and music theory from Arizona State University and the University of Kansas, where he earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in organ. He also studied at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany.

Currently, Hofeling serves as Organist and Music Associate at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and as an adjunct instructor of organ and music theory at the University of Central Missouri. He is also active nationally through his service on the organ committee of the National Federation of Music Clubs.

His performance credits include collaborations with the Kansas City Symphony and several regional ensembles. Recent highlights include concerts at the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul in Maine, the Salt Lake City Tabernacle in Utah, and performances of major works such as the Mozart Requiem and Bach’s B Minor Mass. He also serves as Dean of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and as a board member of the Spire Chamber Ensemble.
