Bethany College Travels to Washington D.C.

In May, the Bethany College Choir traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the Music Celebrations International Memorial Day festivities. A combination of alumni, parents and grandparents of students as well as the choir toured memorials and explored the rich history of our Nation’s Capital. The choir sang at a variety of events such as a special wreath laying ceremony at the WWII Memorial, The Kennedy Center accompanied by the Air Force Orchestra, and the Memorial Day Parade. Bethany College is excited to announce that its choir students have been invited to perform at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City; a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that represents both the dedication of current students and the proud musical tradition of Bethany College.
Bethany College President Laura Crawley will deliver a State of the College Address to open the Svensk Hyllningsfest and Homecoming Weekend festivities at Bethany College, unveiling a new strategic vision to address emerging challenges and opportunities for the future.
Bethany College welcomed more than 265 students from 16 high schools across Kansas to campus on October 2 for the annual Bethania Choral Workshop, a tradition that has been inspiring young musicians for more than 15 years.
