Bethany College Travels to Washington D.C.

In May, the Bethany College Choir traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the Music Celebrations International Memorial Day festivities. A combination of alumni, parents and grandparents of students as well as the choir toured memorials and explored the rich history of our Nation’s Capital. The choir sang at a variety of events such as a special wreath laying ceremony at the WWII Memorial, The Kennedy Center accompanied by the Air Force Orchestra, and the Memorial Day Parade. Bethany College today announced the establishment of the Dean Coughenour Endowed Scholarship in Business. The scholarship will be awarded annually to returning Bethany College business majors to support their continued studies and internship opportunities.

Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.
