HYMN FESTIVAL RETURNS WITH ORGAN DEDICATION TO BETHANY COLLEGE

April 22, 2022

LINDSBORG, KAN., 4.18.2022 - The Bethany College Music Department will host an Organ Dedication & Hymn Festival through Hymns of Faith on Sunday, May 8, at 4 pm in the Pearson Chapel at the Mabee Welcome Center on the Bethany College campus. This afternoon of Word and Music will offer the community a time of singing and reflection as we dedicate the organ in Pearson Chapel. Reverend Amy Truhe, Campus Pastor, will provide reflections on a Christian’s walk of faith, and Hentus van Rooyen, Assistant Professor of Sacred Music and College Organist, will display the organ’s many facets and lead the audience in hymns that connect to this journey.

Dr. van Rooyen and Rev. Truhe have collaborated on Hymnfest’s since Spring 2018. The Organ Dedication and Hymn Festival will be a time of joyful sharing of music, hymns, and reflections on the faith we have in Christ our Lord.

This event is free and open to the public.
