I met my husband and gained an amazing in-law because of Bethany! My first week on campus at Bethany I ran into this girl Kae who at first glance I was certain we had nothing in common (she also recalls not thinking she would be a friend of mine either!). But despite that first interaction we came to be the best of friends both being on the dance team and forming a tight bond throughout our years at Bethany. We stayed friends even after graduation and then Kae convinced me to go on a date with one of her older brothers, Caleb. While I was incredibly hesitant, Kae reminded me I would at least get a free meal out of it. So I went, and at first glance I thought "there is no way this Kansas farm boy will keep my interest" and wouldn't you know we have been married since 2014. The best part is my best friend from Bethany became my sister!"

Bethany College today announced the establishment of the Dean Coughenour Endowed Scholarship in Business. The scholarship will be awarded annually to returning Bethany College business majors to support their continued studies and internship opportunities.

Bethany College is proud to announce the return of sideline cheer, launching with the 2025–26 academic year. Leading the program is newly appointed head coach Patricia Smith, an experienced educator and cheer coach. Sideline cheer will return to Bethany’s home football and basketball games.
