Each year, the Bethany Backers Campaign is focused on driving immediate impact on the Bethany College campus based on real-time feedback from students. In 2026, the Bethany Backers project is now focused on ENHANCING and IMPROVING the student computer lab.

2026 Project
Transforming the Bethany College Computer Lab
Campaign Goal: $50,000 by May 20, 2026
At Bethany College, we are committed to preparing students for success in an increasingly digital world. From business and education to science, music, criminal justice, and the arts, technology is essential to the way our students learn, collaborate, create, and prepare for their futures.

Why This Project Matters
The current computers in our lab are no longer able to keep pace with the software, programs, and digital tools required in today’s classrooms. Slow performance, outdated systems, and limited capabilities can create barriers for students as they complete coursework, conduct research, prepare presentations, and build the technical skills needed in the workplace.
An updated computer lab will:
- Provide students with faster, more reliable technology

2021 Project
The Pit Project
In all honesty, the Pit could use a major overhaul - one much larger than what we have the capacity to complete. The good news is that there is the possibility of major updates to the Pit in the next couple years! In the meantime, we can still make a noticeable impact by providing improvements to enhance student life. If this project wins the vote, we will be putting a fresh coat of paint on the walls, re-felting the pool table, and adding new furniture to the space, complete with built-in charging stations. If funds allow, we will also update the Swede Spot with new tables and chairs to make that meeting space much more useable. For those that do not know, the Swede Spot is the meeting room in the far corner of the mail room that gets used by many campus organizations throughout the year. All of this will provide some much needed updates to improve student life on campus!
2020 Project
Expand Outdoor Recreation Facility
Add outdoor basketball court (concrete or other base) near the current sand volleyball court located in the back of ASH hall. This was a request from the student activities board.
